In the heart of El Calafate, this experience blends the majesty of Patagonian ice with traditional ranch life.
Your journey begins at Nibepo Aike Ranch, an authentic Patagonian estancia spanning over 12,000 hectares. Bordered by the Southern Arm of Lake Argentino and the Andes Mountains, this ranch offers a glimpse into rural Patagonian life. You'll be greeted with refreshments before a guided tour where you'll learn about livestock activities, enjoy views of Lake Argentino and local wildlife, and discover traditional sheep shearing practises. The tour concludes with a walk through the vegetable garden and a traditional Patagonian lamb meal prepared by the Asador, all while taking in views of the Andes.
The next day brings you to the magnificent Glaciar Perito Moreno. This intimate experience avoids the crowds and allows you to fully appreciate this natural wonder. Accompanied by a specialised guide, you'll travel in a small vehicle to the national park, learning about the landscape and ecosystem. You'll have time to admire the glacier from the walkways and enjoy a gourmet packed lunch. An optional boat ride offers a closer view of the glacier's towering ice wall. Before returning, you'll stop at a traditional Patagonian rest point for panoramic views, a snack, and a tasting of Argentine mate.
