Explore the Waialua Bay and Anahulu River, home of the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles, on Oahu's North Shore. Travel up the calm, beautiful, mosquito-less river, known as Haleiwa's backyard, and lined with lush foliage. Although we cannot guarantee viewings, it is very common to see the sea turtles -- the "gentle giants" -- who make their home in the Anahulu river. Tilapia are also common to see, as well as sometimes ocean fish as well. The bay offers scenic expansive views of the country's landscape, a view that can only be appreciated from the ocean. Both the river and the bay are calm year-round -- a great place for beginner-kayakers.
