Overview
Guided tour to discover the ancient center of Naples. The Church of Gesù Nuovo characterized by rich Baroque decorations and the Basilica of Santa Chiara, the largest Gothic basilica in the city. Walking through Spaccanapoli, the road that divides the historic center in two, we arrive at Piazza San Domenico Maggiore, bordered by a series of noble palaces. We arrive at the famous via San Gregorio Armeno known as the Via dei Presepi, thanks to the presence of ancient shops that hand-make the characters of the Neapolitan nativity scene. At the end of this road we find the Basilica of San Lorenzo Maggiore in French Gothic style, with its apse among the most beautiful in Italy. We move towards the Duomo, one of the most important religious buildings in Naples and the place where it is possible to witness the miracle of the dissolution of the blood of San Gennaro. There will be stops at the famous Pulcinella by Lello Esposito and the Madonna with the gun, the only work by Banksy in Italy.
