You will learn why Art Deco was so popular in Shanghai in the 1930s, and how to identify an Art Deco building. You will explore People's Square and the Bund. You will enter hidden museums inside Art Deco luxury hotels, including the Park Hotel and the Fairmont Peace Hotel. And you will also walk into several Art Deco buildings in the former foreign concession area to see the stylish interior designs.
