The Osa Peninsula is one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth, shaped by pristine rainforest, mangroves, rivers and the Pacific coastline. It offers a close connection with nature and a slower pace, ideal for travellers interested in wildlife and natural environments.

Day 1 begins with a domestic flight from San José to Puerto Jiménez. On arrival, you'll transfer to the hotel, check in and settle into your room. The rest of the day is free to enjoy the hotel facilities, relax by the pool or take in the local atmosphere.

After breakfast on day 2, set out on a guided rainforest safari-style experience. Travelling in a specially adapted vehicle, you'll explore forest roads that pass through different ecosystems, allowing for wildlife observation without strenuous walking. As you continue towards the Matapalo area, you may spot monkeys, scarlet macaws and sloths, along with toucans, reptiles, colourful frogs and a wide variety of insects.

Your naturalist guide uses a high-powered telescope to help you observe animals up close while explaining their behaviour, habitats and the conservation efforts that protect this ecosystem. The tour includes several relaxed stops for photography and interpretation.

Day 3 is free to spend the day at your own pace. You may choose to relax at the hotel or book optional activities such as kayaking or birdwatching.

On day 4, after breakfast, you'll transfer to Puerto Jiménez Airport for your return flight to San José.
