Overview
Depart from the helipads and head directly over the Kaikōura Whale Sanctuary to witness some of nature's most extraordinary marine life. This extended tour offers ample time to observe wildlife and the unique chance to land at a secluded site accessible solely through South Pacific Helicopters.
Kaikōura is located on the migratory route for Humpbacks, Southern right, Orca and even Blue whales depending on the time of year.
After a successful whale sighting, fly along the coastline spotting other wildlife including the resident populations of playful Dusky dolphins as well as New Zealand fur seals on the rocks below.
The experience is rounded off with an exclusive landing at a site accessible only by South Pacific Helicopters. Disembark the aircraft and experience the incredible vistas of the mountains and sea before finishing the flight back at the Airport.
