Marangu Route, known as the “Coca Cola” or “tourist” route, is the easiest and shortest path to the summit. It offers sleeping huts at every campsite, featuring solar lights and comfortable beds.

• 🛌 Communal huts with sponge mattresses and pillows are available for climbers.
• 🚻 Facilities include 60 beds at both Mandara and Kibo Huts, and 120 beds at Horombo Hut; bathrooms and running water are accessible at the two lower huts.
• 🍽️ Meals are shared in dining huts, fostering a jovial atmosphere among climbing groups from various countries.
• ⏳ The route typically takes 5 days but can be extended to 6 days for improved acclimatization; an extra day can be spent resting or climbing Mawenzi.
• ⚠️ Basic mens’ and ladies’ latrines are available at the last camp.
