Part of the rich culture of Thailand is ingrained in all its delicious traditional dishes. In this activity, join a fun and informative tour that will take you on a local market trip where you'll source all your ingredients for your scheduled cooking class! Choose either a morning or evening course and embark on a journey that will introduce you to the Akha people - a community that immigrated to Thailand in the 1900's - as well as their traditions and a combination of both Thai and Akha cuisine. In the cooking course, you'll create 10 delicious dishes that you will get to eat after the session. In our Morning Class we will take you to the Local Market to see the real lifestyle of local people where you can all the same produce, at all different prices. We call this “same same, but different”! At the Local Market, you will be treated like a local person, no special treatment to gain profit for tourists here! Thai markets are very different from western markets, so get ready for some interesting experiences.
