The Gordon family built and lived in this home until the Girl Scouts bought the home and turned it into a museum. All of the Gordon children were born in this house. Chippewa SquareA square made famous by Forrest Gump, he waited for the bus on this square. Surrounded by many of Savannah's high points, the statue in the center of the square is of General James Oglethorpe, the founder of Savannah.

Cathedral of St. John the BaptistThe largest and one of the most beautiful churches in Savannah. This Catholic basilica began as a church in the 1700s, the actual basilica building was built in the middle 1800s, great history, and is open daily.

Madison SquareSgt Jasper stands in the center of this square, he fought in the Siege of Savannah and was fatally wounded. St. Johns Episcopal Church occupies this square as well as the Green Meldrim house.

Monterey SquareThis square is named for the Battle of Monterey. General Casimir Pulaski stands in the center of the square. The synagogue, Mickve Israel, is on this square built in Gothic Revival style and the Mercer Williams house enriches the square with its historic style. Mercer Williams's house is the center point of the book "Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil," and also a big part of several of the movies filmed in Savannah.
