This is a private tour for your group only. Aberdeenshire has many treasures to offer and we will take you on a tour to areas that are stunning and interesting.
A suggested itinerary depending on hotel location:
-Old Aberdeen - Fascinating medieval history
-Dunnottar Castle - one of the worlds' most iconic
-Crathes Castle - 16th century masterpiece & amazing gardens
-Lunch at nice restaurant
-Royal Lochnagar Distillery/Glen Garioch Distillery Tasting tour (included in the cost of the tour) or Balmoral Castle, if open to the public. Not both entrance fees are included.

Access to the castle interiors and Distillery Tasting Tours are subject to seasonal opening times. Access to most castles grounds is free, except Balmoral. Please contact us for details.
You must be over 18 to taste the whisky during the Distillery tour but younger people are welcome.

Dunnottar CastleOne of Scotland's and the worlds most spectacular castles, Dunnottar is a ruined medieval fortress located upon a rocky headland near Stonehaven. The surviving buildings date back to between the 13th and 16th centuries, but was originally fortified in the Early Middle Ages. You can enjoy this castle for free but an internal tour is chargeable. (£9.50 pp)

Crathes Castle, Garden & EstateFascinating 16th Century Castle with turrets, gargoyles, 16th-century painted ceilings and ancient, great yew hedges and walled gardens set in the magnificent surroundings of Royal Deeside. You can enjoy this castle for free but an internal tour is chargeable. (£14.50 pp)

Royal Lochnagar DistilleryWe have tasting tour at the Royal Lochnagar or the Glen Garioch Distillery, depending on availability (included in cost). Both distilleries have illustrious histories and produce amazing Scotch . You will be able to learn how it is made and sample some drams.

Balmoral CastleAn option instead of the distillery. Please advise at time of booking. This iconic castle has been the Scottish home of the Royal Family since it was purchased for Queen Victoria by Prince Albert in 1852. A must on all visitors to see list. Please note as of September 2023 Balmoral Castle has extended its opening dates. Please contact us for details and availability.
