Abu Simbel TempleWe will pick you up from your hotel / Nile Cruise in Aswan and your Egyptologist Tour guide will pick you up by a private air-conditioned vehicle to travel around three hours to visit the gigantic Temples of Abu simbel which are situated by the southern borders of Egypt to the south of Aswan. On your way to Abu Simbel you will enjoy the beautiful landscape of Sahara desert and watch the Mirage Phenomenon which could be pictured by your camera. After you reach Abu Simbel you will wake along the shore of Nasser lake few steps to the entrance gate of the temples. The main temple was dedicated to Ramesses II himself, while the elegant small one built to commemrate the memory of his beloved wife Nefertary. The whole temples were submereged by the water of Nasser Lake which was found as result of Aswan High Dam foundation in 1960s, that made the UNESCO put extra efforts to rescue the temples and relocate them in this present site.
