  • Pick you up from your hotel in Cairo, Travel to Alexandria. Start the tour with the library of Alexandria; the biggest library in the world – now with 8 million books. Visit President Sadat Museum and visit the open court where you can see the statue of Alexander the Great and the statue of Ptolemy the first, which was found underwater nearby. Our guide will explain the design of the library from outside, you will have a chance for some photo stops. Note: Alexandria library is closed on Fridays ,Saturdays & in public holidays. To enter the reading area you will need to purchase a ticket.
  • Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa
    An ancient circular staircase leads down into these tombs that were tunneled into the bedrock during the age of the Antoine emperors (2nd century AD). Visiting the insides of the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa which are the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock. Pass by Pompey's Pillar.
  • Ancient Roman Amphitheater
    We will walk by the excavation site of the Old Roman City of Alexandria, including Roman villas, the Amphitheater Ruins, Alexandria's Great Tomb excavation site, and various ruins. Please note that we will not be visiting the interior of these sites but will enjoy an external view while our guide shares insights into their historical significance.
  • Saint Mark's Coptic Orthodox Cathedral
    The former seat of the Coptic Orthodox Patriarch prior to being moved to Cairo in 1968. This Cathedral is an excellent example of Coptic architecture and is a wonder to behold. A couple of notes upon entry:1.Your bag will be searched and you will walk through a metal detector; 2.Please dress modestly out of respect for the sanctity of the building; 3.A small donation is appreciated
  • Mosque of Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi
    The car will then transport you to the most beautiful and largest mosque in the city, allowing for a photo stop at the Abbo Elabbas Mosque.Walk by the oldest funfair in Egypt.
  • Citadel of Qaitbay
    Opposite is the corniche and the old harbor where you can see the old fishing boats, men fishing and traditional fishermen making nets. The photos taken here are amazing. Continue to see the outside of Quaitbay castle which was built on the same site as the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria one of the seven wonders of ancient world . A most spectacular castle which is a great photo stop. With this, we end up our tour. It is time to travel back to Cairo.
  • The Cairo - Alexandria Desert Road is the route of the round journey. The time of the the two ways is approximately 6 hours.
