Tour to Piedras Rojas, the Miscanti and Meñiques Altiplanic Lagoons, and the Chaxa Lagoon. Includes stop at the Tropic of Capricorn.
The route to Piedras Rojas and Lagunas Altiplánicas will take us through important tourist places within the Atacama desert. To get to the Piedras Rojas lagoon, or the Aguas Calientes salt flat as it is also known, we will have to go up in our vehicle to 3800 meters of altitude and walk for 1 hour and 15 minutes, to see these copper-colored rocks, in addition to the lagoons and salt flats around. Later, we will go to the sector of the Miscanti and Miñiques Altiplanic lagoons, where our guide will give us some explanations regarding the flora and fauna that inhabit the place. We will also make a stop at the Chaxa lagoon, where you can see flamingos. In the same way, we will pass through Socaire and the Tropic of Capricorn, where we will make a short stop to take pictures. Then, we will return to San Pedro de Atacama to finish our tour.
