The most important tourist sight is the Zeedijk Buddhist temple, which is free and open every day, except Mondays.

The Oude Kerk, or the Old Church as it's known in English is Amsterdam’s oldest building and oldest parish church, founded circa 1213 and it's located in Amsterdam's main red-light district. Originally built as a Catholic place of worship, but later became one of the unique buildings expressing the national character of Dutch Protestantism.
  • Royal Palace Amsterdam
The Royal Palace of Amsterdam is situated on Dam Square in the centre of Amsterdam. It was originally built as the city hall for the magistrates of Amsterdam. It is used for Royal Events, the King's New Year reception and other official appointments.
  • (optional when time allows) The Begijnhof is an enclosed courtyard dating from the early 14th century.
