Overview
Your afternoon will be well spent learning the ancient art of mosaic-making. Following an introductory lesson about the techniques of Roman mosaics; you will practise the principles of texture, composition, marble tile cutting and, to make your own piece of mosaic to take home. We are looking forward meeting you here at 2pm.

The workshop will begin with an introduction to Roman mosaic technique and history. Afterwards, you will practice the principles of texture, composition and marble tile cutting to create your own mosaic to take home.
It is fundamental for us to teach the authentic techniques of Roman mosaic craftsmanship. Therefore, your mosaic will fulfill ancient requirements.
The final result is your own personal mosaic to take home that will be approximately 7” x 5”, weighing 14 oz.
This is a full immersion work experience. You are going to work in an authentic mosaic studio and handle specific tools. For safety reasons, we recommend starting this experience from 12 years on.
