Overview
Bagels, Dumplings, Pizza, & Tacos is fun, insightful and an absolute feast for the senses, usually visiting the Lower East Side, Chinatown, and more.
Eat 4 iconic foods that escaped their cultures of origin to have a big impact on NYC and beyond.
We’ll visit some old standards and some rising stars as we explore the food and the beautiful places they're served, making a total of 4-6 food stops. You’ll be full.
BUT this is not your normal food tour. We don't follow a fixed route. Instead the experienced, licensed guide will get the pulse of the group and draw from a big bag of options to make each outing more personal, memorable, and unique.
We are always learning more about the city, and that's how we can run these organic, informal events that are less scripted and more like an eclectic group of friends out for a food crawl in the city.
Wear comfortable clothes and be prepared to walk. We cover a lot of ground and often eat standing up!

Essex Street MarketWe meet at Essex Street Market, and proceed from there!
- From First Park, we'll head south into the Lower East Side where bagels, dumplings tacos, pizza, and street art await. (pass by)

Economy CandyFamily-owned and operated for almost 100 years, Economy Candy is a colorful and enjoyable stop. They have candy from all over the world, and candy you might not have seen in decades. Great fun. No purchase necessary.
-
The oldest bialy bakery in The United States, Kossar's has a colorful history and they make great food. If we don't stop at Russ & Daughters, and maybe even if we do, we might stop here.
-
A tiny dumpling outpost on Essex Street, North Dumpling is usually buzzing. It's a fun place to grab our first round of dumplings, and we'll probably eat them on the street.
-
We often stop at El Cabron, where the tacos are real and delicious. Grab a beer or a Margherita if you want!
-
Sometimes the line is too long, but if we hit it right, a slice from Scarr's is always a good time.

Freeman Alley is a Mecca of graffiti and street art. It changes every day. If you like bright colors and beautiful imagery, you should see it at least once.
-
If we aren't full already, we might make our way to the exception slices at Nolita Pizza.
-
Hands down the best pan friend dumplings in New York. We gotta eat them standing on the street, but it's absolutely worth it.
- We'll pass through Chinatown, take in the sights, and eat some dumplings. (pass by)
-
Columbus ParkColumbus Park is a well-used and vibrant park with a rich history. We often end our tour here, or nearby.
