Are you ready for a jungle adventure? Then look forward to this morning, which starts at around 7 am. Leave your cosy hotel and ‘’jump‘’ into the adventure. The drive takes you through tropical landscapes and soon the breathtaking splendour of the mountain region along the magnificent Mt Batukaru Mountain becomes apparent. Take a break whenever you want - whether you want to stretch your legs, breathe in the morning freshness of the mountain landscape or capture your first Insta-worthy moments.

Welcome to the charming mountain village of Wongaya, nestled on the slopes of Mount Batukaru. Jump out of your ride, give those legs a good stretch. Today's adventure begins simply with a leisurely stroll through the green countryside, past rice fields and lush tropical landscapes. Keep your muscles in reserve, because soon a challenge awaits you in the “nature fitness centre”! On the way you stop at a “Subak” and your guide will explain very well all the details about this historic rice field water-system.

You reach Balikaru activity centre, were your “expedition” starts - the gateway to the wild jungle just a stone's throw away from our village path. Prepare for a rollercoaster ride through dense vegetation and lush greenery as the trail winds over hill and dale. Forget the beaten track - it's time to make your way through the thicket with your trusty ranger by your side.

Important information: From this point onwards, we get off the beaten trek. There are no markings or waypoints in the jungle, from here on you can trust your ranger and the guide, who know the way exactly. For this reason, Balai Belajar in Belulang is the last waypoint until you return to Warung Balikaru. After conquering the first leg of the journey, a breathtaking scene unfolds in front of your eyes: the majestic volcanoes surrounding Mount Batukaru stand tall are almost within arm's reach. Just a hop away across lush green rice fields or fields of golden yellow swaying in the breeze, depending on the season. Savour this amazing view, while resting in a farmer’s shelter, before embarking on the next adventure on this jungle trekking tour.

The dense vegetation may seem like an obstacle course, but fear not, your well-experienced ranger will guide you through the maze. With slippery slopes and steep climbs, you eagerly anticipate a well-deserved break. And voilà! An old bale (pavilion) offers the perfect spot to catch your breath. The ranger even has a snack of Balinese treats and fruits - a delicious reward for your efforts! After recharging your batteries, we set off on the next part of our adventure tour the path is strenuous and all your muscles will be challenged!

But it's worth it, because you reach places that no one else sees and that are hard to beat in terms of beauty: unspoilt nature, secluded spots and hidden sanctuaries await you: The cool spring water runs like a crystal-clear curtain made of water off the rocks everywhere, it feels like a fairytale forest, a magical place that is sacred to the people here and which we can only enter with offerings. The Balinese call this Panjor and have built a sacred Beji (small temple) here, which is hidden in the middle of the jungle and next to the crystal-clear river. It´s an incredible place and you are welcome to take a refreshing dip in the cool water. But first we hand over the offerings to the Beji and pay respect to the nature, to appease the holy spirits that we´ve invaded their realm. Enjoy this incredibly, beautiful place & the peaceful silence, interrupted only by the sounds of the water, the jungle - the chirping of cicadas, the twittering birds or the call of a monkey in the distance.

And then get ready for the final, yet energy-draining, leg of this thrilling adventure tour. Stay focused and step carefully. Take your time as you traverse a narrow and steep downhill path, using hiking poles for support. Upon reaching the river and the chilly spring in Belulang village, take a break to recharge. The last stretch involves an uphill climb, but with natural stairs along the way, it will feel like a walk in the park after this adventure.

Relax, soak in the peaceful village ambiance, and cherish the moment before bidding farewell. After lunch, you can take a walk through the picturesque village. The path leads steadily downhill, so you can enjoy the marvellous surroundings to the full on a leisurely stroll. Say hello to the locals you pass or have a quick chat with them as they return from their daily work in the rice fields.

Belulang Hot SpringYour driver awaits you at the parking space near Belulang Hot Spring and the main village temple. From here you´ll return and you can sit back in the car while your chauffeur takes you back to your hotel. On the way, stop to stretch your legs and prepare for one last highlight of this tour.
