Le trinquet Saint-AndreOur second stop on the food tour is one of the oldest trinquets in France (A trinquet is a type of indoor court used for playing the Basque ball game called "pelota."). As we arrive, you'll be struck by the traditional architecture and the rich history of the venue. We'll head to the restaurant inside the trinquet, where you'll get to sample a variety of local tapas and cured meats, each with their own unique flavor profile. To complement the tapas, we'll also serve you a glass of wine from the restaurant's carefully curated selection. As you savor the delicious food and drink, you'll be surrounded by the lively atmosphere of the trinquet, with the sounds of the game being played in the background. This traditional Basque ritual involves catching the sagarnoa as it flows from the barrel. It's an unforgettable experience that truly captures the spirit of Basque hospitality and tradition. As you sip your sagarnoa and enjoy the cheese, you'll be surrounded by the warm atmosphere of the cider house, with its rustic decor and friendly staff.

For our final stop on the food tour, we'll visit an historic Bayonne coffee roaster. Here, you'll get to taste a freshly roasted espresso paired with an excellent Basque cake from the neighboring pastry shop.
