Be amazed to see holy saints called “Sadhus” wandering in the river and seeking spiritual bliss. You will also see many bulls and cows wandering peacefully along the river bank as if they, too, were looking for a guiding light. Enjoy the cool breeze from the river waters.

Mayakund also serves as a convenient base for exploring Old Rishikesh. From here, you can easily walk to Bharat Mandir, Raghunath Temple, and Triveni Ghat, where the famous Evening Ganga Aarti takes place. The neighborhood becomes especially atmospheric during festival days, when streets fill with pilgrims, flower vendors, and devotional music.
