The Palace MuseumContinue to tour the 600-year-old-plus Forbidden City, the world’s largest and most intact imperial palace complex, and home to 24 emperors from 1368 to 1911 AD. Your guide will accompany you to visit the most essential palaces on the central axis and chambers on the two wings among its 9,999 rooms, with in-depth explanations and expert photography guidance. Note: If your travel date falls on a Monday when the Forbidden City is closed, we’ll visit the royal resort Summer Palace instead. Besides, the visit to Forbidden City does not include the Treasure Gallery, the Gallery of Timepieces, or any temporary exhibitions.

Mutianyu Great WallYour guide will escort you on a 1.5-hour drive to Mutianyu, the most beautiful section of the Great Wall of China. Upon arrival, enjoy an authentic Chinese buffet lunch, including soft drinks, to refuel for the afternoon. After lunch, let’s ascend the Great Wall to admire its architectural grandeur as an ancient military defense. Enjoy at least 2.5 hours of hiking and soak in the charming scenery around. The round-way cable car rides, or a chairlift up and toboggan down are included to save your time and energy, and you can make your own choice. Notice for the toboggan: Children under 10 need to be escorted by an adult; travelers aged 60 and above, or those with hypertension or heart disease, are not permitted to take it. After descending from the Great Wall, a complimentary tea break awaits you. Unwind and sample different types of tea while learning about the rich traditions of Chinese tea culture.
