Kaminarimon GateIt has nothing to do with Thor, the god of thunder. This gate symbolizes the entrance to the domain of Sensoji, the main temple in Asakusa and one of the most famous in the country.

Senso-ji TempleAs one of the most important symbols of Asakusa, You will walk with your guide to the main building of Sensoji Temple, which is dedicated to the goddess of mercy, and discover several things about Buddhism, but also some things on the way connected to Shinto, and get the opportunity to get knowledge from your guide.

Nakamise Shopping Street (Kaminarimon)This shopping street is one of the most famous on social media. Of course, it is highly touristic, but that street and its surroundings should be on everybody's bucket list when visiting Japan for the first time. After reaching Sensoji Temple, you will get free time to walk around the Nakamise-Dori and meet your guide directly back at the main entrance, at the Kaminarimon. This Free time is the first chance for you to do some snacking, as this tour does NOT include a proper lunch time, to optimize your time the best way possible.

Ameyoko Shopping StreetMuch less touristic than the Nakamise-Dori, and more authentic, walk around the "Ameyoko" Shopping street of Ueno, and get your second food/drink break, before moving to the next destination of the day.

Ueno ParkWalk around the beautiful park of Ueno, and admire some of the most gorgeous creations, pagodas, temples, and shrines, and learn more about its cultural connection to modern Japan. We will focus on the south side, as the north is mostly about the zoo and the Tokyo National Museum.
