Parque BatlleThe park is some 60 acres in area and includes the Estadio Centenario national football stadium. Plenty of vegetation and shady trees.
- The stadium was built between 1929 and 1930 to host the 1930 FIFA World Cup, as well as to commemorate the centennial of Uruguay's first constitution. It is listed by FIFA as one of the football world's classic stadiums. In 1983 it was declared by FIFA as the only historical monument of World Football. The stadium was the scene of Uruguay's win in the Final of 1930 and Club Nacional de Football´s win in the final of Libertadores Cup 1980 and 1988. (pass by)
