Vieques Kayaks Bio Bay excursions offer guided tours through the glowing waters of Mosquito Bay, the brightest Bioluminescent Bay in the world, located on Vieques Island, Puerto Rico. Children aged five and older can join with a parent or adult, provided each participant has a ticket.
- 🛶 Guided tours are conducted in solid and semi-clear bottom kayaks.
- 🌕 Excursions do not operate during full moon nights.
- ✈️ Guests must be aware that Vieques is separate from Puerto Rico; a ferry from Ceiba or a plane from San Juan or Ceiba is required.
- 🌙 Tours depart nightly at 7pm and 9pm.
- 🧳 An overnight stay on the island is necessary to participate in the tour.

Bahia BioluminiscenteThis excursion is located on the island of Vieques, Puerto Rico. In order to participate in our tour, an overnight stay on Vieques is required. Vieques is a separate island off of the main island of Puerto Rico. You will need to take a plane or ferry from the main island of Puerto Rico to reach Vieques, and you will need to arrange separate ground transportation because you will not be able to bring a rental car on the ferry with you. Because we only offer tours at night so that our clients can experience the glow of the bay, even if you take our earliest tour, you will not be back to our meeting point with enough time to get on a ferry or a plane back to the main island on the same day. Our guides will meet you in Esperanza directly across from Rainbow Realty (278 Calle Flamboyan). Roundtrip from the meeting point, the excursion is 2 hours, time on the bay about 1.5 hours, weather permitting. We provide transportation from the meeting point to the Bio Bay entrance and back.
