Overview
On Bonaire, the historic town of Kralendijk offers a unique opportunity to learn about local glass archaeology with an experienced certified guide. The journey includes exploring the Mangroves and Sorobon area, as well as the East coast shoreline.
- 🌊 Guided by a certified Bonaire expert who enjoys beachcombing and searching for sea glass.
- 🏖️ The second beach visit in Kralendijk features a shoreline that was once a refuse area, where historic glass pieces from the 1700s and 1800s may be found.
- 🧜♂️ Glass collection is permitted; however, corals and other organic items are protected within the marine park.
- 👥 Small group sizes are maintained with a maximum of 4 participants for a more personalized experience.
- 🤿 Snorkel equipment is provided should you wish to search below the surface during your adventure.

KralendijkBeach one - Explore Kralendijk's waterfront. Fisherman and their families still live in the area. In the past, Salt Company family homes lined part of this shore. Scour the shoreline for discarded glass which can date back to the 1700's. Frequently Pirate Glass and pottery are found here.

KralendijkBeach Two - This area was a refuse dumping area which opened in the 1950's. Now a nice beach, we find all sorts of old household glass. Textured UV window glass, old glass decor pieces and of course colored bottle pieces.
If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
