Cao Dai Temple and Black Lady Mountain tour with lunch
Overview
You'll first head to Cao Dai Holy Temple. This temple complex includes houses, administrative offices, residences for officials and adepts and a hospital specializing in traditional Vietnamese herbal medicine, attracting people from all over the south for treatments. The temple will surprise you with its colourful decorations on the wall, ceilings and pillars. It is home to the Cao Dai sect, which practices a unique hybrid of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, and Christianity.
After lunch at a local restaurant, you'll proceed to Black Lady Mountain, approximately 11 kilometres northeast of Tay Ninh, near the Vietnamese - Cambodian Border. Black Lady Mountain consists of three major peaks, covering an area of 24 kilometres and reaching an altitude of 986 meters. Conquering the 986-meter-high mountain, the highest in the nation’s southeastern region, is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The beautiful temples and caves on the mountain, which once housed Buddhist monks and nuns, remain largely undisturbed.
While soaring on the cable car, you'll enjoy a panoramic view of a waterfall shimmering under the mysterious sun and dense forest. However, for those who prefer not to take the cable car, there's also the option to trek to the top of the mountain.
