Chacaltaya Ski Resort stands at an altitude of 5,375m (17634 ft) above sea level. It’s the world’s highest ski resort, or rather it was. You will see the remains of what was highest ski resort in the world. You will do a maximum 2 hour trek upto to the resort, where you will see breathtaking views of La Paz and the surrounding mountain ranges. The guide will explain the history about the place as well as taking you to places where you will be taking picture post cards!

According to local guides, Valley de Luna received its name after Neil Armstrong apparently visited the site and remarked how the landscape resembled that of the moon.
