At one time, Wat Chedi Luang housed the revered Emerlad Buddha image now enshrined in Bangkok’s Wat Phra Kaew. One of Wat Chedi Luang’s most striking architectural features is a magnificent Naga staircase adorns the chapel’s front.

Wat Phra That Doi SuthepWat Phra That Doi Suthep is Chiang Mai’s most sacred temple, perched on Doi Suthep Mountain overlooking the city. Founded in the 14th century, the temple is famous for its gleaming golden chedi, ornate Lanna architecture, and panoramic views of Chiang Mai. Reached by a grand naga-lined staircase, it is an important pilgrimage site and a must-visit cultural landmark in northern Thailand.

Wat Pha LatWat Pha Lat This temple is the ancient precursor (lower on the mountain) than Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. While a little less grand than it's younger sibling, it is steep with history, reverence, and peace. Boasting beautiful views of the city of Chang Mai, it is built on a stream with a series of waterfalls. A terrific place for meditation or simple reflection. Go!!
