Marie Reine de la PaixYour trip begins at Marie Reine de la Paix, which is an open Roman Catholic Chuch standing on the flank of Signal Mountain in Port-Louis. From there you can have a panoramic view on the capital City. Its construction started in May 1940 and was inaugurated in August 1941. The 3m white marble statue represents Mary holding a world globe. We have had the honour to host the Pope Francis on the 9th September 2019 for a mass celebrated there, after the last visit of Pope John Paul II in 1989.
