  • Kariakoo Market
    Our tour will start at Kariakoo market. The history of this market goes back to 1916. After british captured Dar es Salaam from the Germans during World War -1, they built a depot for their carrier corps no longer needed, the Governor allowed the building to be used as a market, hence the name "Carrier Corps Market" and Swahili speaker pronounce the name as "Kariakoo". And that is how it is known until today.
  • St. Joseph's Cathedral of Archdiocese of Dar es Salaam
    After Kariakoo Market you will pass through Uhuru torch monument at Mnazi Mmoja area, Dar es Salaam old Boma then you will reach to Roman Catholic Cathedral overlooking the harbour. St. Joseph is the first Roman Catholic Cathedral in Mainland Tanzania. The main building took five years to complete, 1897-1902, and was consecrated on October 15,1908. It is artistically constructed in Gothic style with shingled spire, a vaulted interior and carved relief above the main altar. The interior still retains the original German inscriptions.
  • Askari Monument
    After Catholic Cathedral you will pass to Lutheran Cathedral then to Askari Monument. Askari Monument was built by the British colonial government replacing another statue mounted by the German colonial government in 1911 in commemoration of Major Herman Von Wissmann, the first Governor of German East Africa, appointed in 1895.The British demolished it in 1916 following Germany's defeat and retreat during the First World War.
  • National Museum of Tanzania
    Museum and House of Culture (MHC) is the first National Museum to be established in Tanzania, in 1937 and opened to the public on 7th December, 1940. Initially it was known as King George V Memorial Museum, after King George V of Great Britain who died in 1936. In 1962the name was changed to the National Museum.
  • Kivukoni Fish Market
    On the way to fish market you will pass along the Tanzania State House (taking picture is not allowed). Head down to Kivukoni fish market, here you will see fishers sell their catch to restauranteurs and homemakers who came to buy. The market is divided into two main sections, comprising eight zones, one of which is the auction. In other sections fish are cleaned, cooked and resold at marked-up prices.
  • Village Museum
    After fish market visit you will have lunch break (you will pay direct to the hotel) then you will take public transport from kivukoni to Morocco road, from there you will take tuk tuk (Rick Shaw) to Village Museum. The Village Museum, or popularly "Kijiji cha Makumbusho" (Swahili for "Village Museum") is loacated along Ali Hassan Mwinyi Road in Kijitonyama. The Museum features around twenty traditional houses representing the over 120 ethnic groups found in Tanzania. The houses includes furnished huts, cattle pens and meeting places. Visitors are allowed to get into the houses. After tour within the museum you will get chance to watch traditional ngoma(dance) sessions that we arranged for you.
  • Mwenge Woodcarvers Market
    After village museum we will complete our tour by visiting Mwenge woodcarvers market. Her you will see different wood carvers products made from famous African black tree (Ebony Tree). Later your driver will drop you off at your hotel.
