After pick up with a confortable car from your accommodation in downtown of Panama City, we will have an entertaining discussion about the history of The Panama Canal on the way to the city of Colon, 1 hour from Panama City at the atlantic side of Panama, to visit the new expansion of The Panama Canal where we would see massive ships going through the locks and learn about how these amazing structures work.

After passing over the Atlantic Bridge, we will drive through the San Lorenzo National Park, a natural rainforest reserve where we will have the chance to spot animals from the road (monkeys, birds, coaties and more) in our way to the Castel San Lorenzo del Chagres, a massive fortress originally completed in 1601 that was once the chief Atlantic port on the isthmus of Panama built on top of a high reef, in a position that dominated the entrance of the Chagres River. Beside the historical richness, its impressive structures have been recovered becoming the perfect scenery for best pictures and videos.
