Its foundation dates back to the end of the 8th century, under the reign of Idriss I . Its international influence has become one of the capitals of the civilization arabia-Muslim side of Damascus, Baghdad, Cordoba, Istanbul or Isfahan. Take in other sites including the Nejjarine Fountain, the Bouaanania Medersa, dating from the 13th century, and the Batha Palace.
