It is most famously known for its breathtaking castle, the Hluboka Castle, which was built by the Schwarzenberg family in the 13th century. The castle is one of the most beautiful in the country, and has been lovingly restored, keeping its original Baroque and Renaissance architecture. The castle grounds are now a popular tourist destination, offering a range of activities such as walks through the gardens, horse-riding, and even boating on the river. The museum inside the castle is also worth a visit, and houses many artefacts, as well as an impressive library.
