Passing ouside the well known – from ancient times – town of Theves we arrive to the traditional village (and also a famous ski resort place) of Arachova, which is located at the foot of mount Parnassus. We shall have a short stop/visit there.

Delphi Ancient TownWe then drive to “the center of the world” – as it was regarded by the ancients – the famous Sanctuary of Delphi with the worldwide known Oracle. You will wander through the archaeological area admiring the Temple of Apollo, the Treasury of the Athenians, the Polygonal wall, the Treasury of the Siphnians, the Stoa of the Athenians, the ancient theater, the Sacred Way, the ancient Gymnasium, the Castalian Spring, the ancient Stadium & the Tholos of Athena Pronaia.

Delphi Archaeological MuseumYour knowledge will be complemented with the visit to the archaeological museum where you will follow the history of the most famous ancient oracle & you will admire sculpture, statues & minor objects donated to the sanctuary. We then start our return to Athens.
