Sunny Day ScootMeet up with your guides and learn all about how to operate these fun mini-cars.
- See one of the fun places in LA where they have life sized wax sculptures of your favorite movie stars, and performers. You never know who they might have on display. Frankly, it's hard to tell if you are actually looking at a wax figure, or the real thing. Welcome to Hollywood! (pass by)
- Drive by the house of wonders that is Ripley's Believe It or Not, a museum of oddities that mirrors the old tv show of the same name, and attracts onlookers from all over the world. Don't forger to wave to 'Rex' the huge dinosaur busting out of the roof of the building and keeping guard over Hollywood for us all! (pass by)
- One of the most iconic building in all of Hollywood, and a perfect partner to the Walk of Fame, is the TLC Chinese Theatre. This theatre was dubbed "the world's most unusual playhouse" when it opened. Many historic movie premieres have happened here including the original Star Wars. At one time they were the location of the Academy Awards. Nowadays, it is a must do stop to see the historic hand prints and foot prints of famous stars left and signed in the concrete vestibule in front of the theater entrance. Some consider this the crown jewel of Hollywood Boulevard. (pass by)
- Pass by the Dolby Theatre which was built exclusively to be the home of the Oscars, Academy Awards. It has hosted the event since 2001 and will until 2029. This is the true red carpet theater. (pass by)
- See the only famous Hollywood site that spans the streets around the city. The Walk of Fame is like a journey through the history of Radio, Film, TV, Recording, and Stage Performance! After your tour you can go on a scavenger hunt to find your favorite artist. The best part is, if you are lucky, we may even see one of the dedication ceremonies where they honor someone famous with a Hollywood Star! It's Hollywood, anything can happen. (pass by)
- Originally the El Capitan was host to a long running Burlesque variety show, but has now evolved into a movie theater, performance hall, and live TV studio. It is home to Jimmy Kimmel Live, so keep your eyes open to see their 'man on the street' interviews or Guillermo out there doing a bit. (pass by)
- Home to the academy of the magical arts, The Magic Castle is one of the most exclusive experiences in all of Los Angeles. They have an upscale dress code, high end restaurant, and hotel as well. Not only do you either have to be a member, magician, or guest of one, but they require a door charge and dinner reservation in order to enter as well. Seeing this wondrous and enchanting landmark from your Scoot, just might be the closest you will ever get to experiencing The Magic Castle. (pass by)
- Known as “one of the most famous churches on the Pacific coast” this church is literally a Historic Cultural Monument. Not only are people drawn because it is an esthetically beautiful building, but it has also been a film location to some awesome movies including Anger Management, Jarhead, Sister Act, and one of the best ever; Back to the Future! (pass by)
- How do you design your record label building to show what you do from the outside you ask? Well, you make the building look like a stack of records, of course! That is exactly what they did with the Capitol Records Building. They actually designed it to look like a stack of 45's. For those of you born in 1990 or later - a 45 is one of those small records that you needed an insert to keep in place on the player. Oh, for those of you born in 2010 or after - a record is a flat vinyl way to keep music... you know what, forget it. Let's just leave it as the building is cool. Some of the most famous musicians have been on the Capitol Records Label including The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Adele, Tina Turner, The Beastie Boys, Aerosmith, Judy Garland, Dean Martin, and many more! (pass by)
- Drive through one of the largest urban parks in the country and experience some nature even in a hustle bustle city like Los Angeles. (pass by)
- Pass by the outer rim of the place where many of your favorite performers have been laid to rest. The cemetery has been used as a film location for movie and tv in LA Story, Six Feet Under, The Prestige, Californication, Ruby Sparks, and many more! You will also find many of the famous artists and actors and musicians from history buried here including Judy Garland, Cecil B. Demille, President James Monroe, Johnny and Dee Dee Ramone, Chris Cornell, and even the dog who played Toto in the Wizard of Oz is laid to rest here. (pass by)
- One of the most beautiful places to see a live broadway performance in Hollywood. The amazing marquee lights up the boulevard as a beacon calling to anyone who loves the performing arts. (pass by)
- Arguably the most iconic landmark in all of Los Angeles. The sign that acts as a billboard for creativity. For years this sign has called to the brave, talented, people who have put everything on the line for a chance to tell the world stories. In your Scoot from the streets of Hollywood itself, you will get stunning views of The Hollywood Sign. We hope it inspires you as it has for generations of artists before. (pass by)
