This fun hand clapping workshop will take you through the rhythms of Flamenco, you will feel how you can interact rhythmically with Flamenco music and with other people who are clapping rhythms and accent patterns. This activity offers travelers a unique opportunity to visit an authentic Flamenco studio, located off the beaten path in the center of Seville. Your instructor is a professional dancer with years of experience teaching dance and rhythms to all levels (Spanish, English, Dutch and French speaking). You will enjoy Flamenco performances so much more, with the insider knowledge this activity provides you.

We will meet you in front of the entrance to the church of San Marcos, opposite the pharmacy.

We will meet you in front of the entrance to the church of San Marcos, opposite the pharmacy.
You will learn different techniques of Flamenco hand clapping, called "palmas" in Spanish. Your instructor is a professional Flamenco dancer with years of experience teaching palmas, castanets and Flamenco dance. She will explain different Flamenco rhythms and accent patterns. You will learn to clap these rhythms together with other participants resulting in rhythmical dialogue. The rhythms are usually performed sitting down in a circle with the other participants.
