Ecomuseo del Parque Natural del Delta del EbroLearn about all aspects of the delta in the museum; its formation, how it is changing over time, the importance of the region as a rice producer and how it is a protected nature reserve. Find out about the different bird species you can see at different times of the year before visiting the museum's aquarium to see the marine life that can be found in the area.

Take a relaxing guided cruise along the last few kms of Spain's second longest river to the point where it meets the Mediterranean Sea. Look out for birdlife along the riverbanks and on the water and see areas of the delta that cannot be visited on land. Please note that the live commentary is given only in Spanish and Catalan. Your Jon's Tours coordinator will translate to English where possible.

Peniscola CastleExplore the best preserved castle in the Valencia region (and arguably Spain!). Learn about its history dating back to the 13th century and discover the story of Papa Luna, also known as the Antipope. Admire the views over the old town and the new town, along the coast and across the beautiful beaches. You can also visit the artillery park, formerly used to store weaponry and gunpowder and now a park and museum.

PeniscolaExplore Peñiscola at your own pace with free time to wander through the whitewashed streets of the old town, enjoy lunch in one of the many restaurants, shop for local products or just soak up the atmosphere. Discover why Peñiscola has been, and still is, the setting for many movies and TV shows including Game of Thrones. Take a walk along the seafront promenade or maybe have a quick dip in the sea before heading back to Valencia.
