Overview
Experience the natural beauty of El Yunque National Forest on a guided adventure from San Juan. After pickup from our designated locations, journey into the rainforest and drive nearly 1,600 feet above sea level for breathtaking views of Puerto Rico’s east coast from the Yokahú Observation Tower.
Stop at the iconic La Coca Falls for photos before heading on a short 15-minute hike to the beautiful Mameyes river, where you can swim in refreshing natural pools (weather permitting).
After approximately two hours exploring the rainforest, we’ll continue to Luquillo Beach and the famous kiosk area, where you can relax on the beach, enjoy local food and drinks, or simply soak in the coastal atmosphere.

El Yunque National ForestAfter pickups are made, we will drive around 40 min to El Yunque National Rainforest. in this area we will make 3 stops; Yokahu Tower, La Coca Falls and a nature walk of 15 min that will take us Mameyes river for swimming.

Yokahu TowerThis 69 foot tower was built by Dr. Frank H. Wadsworth (former Forest Supervisor and Director of IITF) in the early 1960’s. Four types of the forest can be viewed from Yokahú Tower: Colorado (smooth to the south), Tabonuco (irregular surrounding with white-leaved Yagrumos), Palm (on the steep slopes) and Cloud Forest (on the ridges) are all visible along with the coastline and all the way to the Virgin Islands on a clear day (10 mile + view).

Catarata La CocaAt an elevation of 1, 476 feet (450 meters) above sea level, La Coca Falls is a spectacular waterfall! The waters of La Coca Falls drop 85 feet (26 meters) onto a huge rock formation at the bottom of the falls. This is an excellent spot to take photos.

Mameyes IFrom its headwaters in the Baño de Oro Research Natural Area to the boundary of El Yunque National Forest. Wild — 2.1 miles; Scenic — 1.4 miles; Recreational — 1.0 miles; Total — 4.5 miles. Multiple natural pools are found in this river considered as one of the main ones in El Yunque. Swimming/ Cliff jump and rope swing/ pending on weather conditions.

Luquillo BeachLuquillo beach is considered as one of the most beautiful ones in the Northern side of PR. Here you can find around 36 kiosks where you can shop souvenirs or have a local gastronomical experience.
