Overview
Discover the natural beauty of El Yunque National Forest on a guided tour from San Juan. After being picked up from our locations, we will take you to the main recreational areas of El Yunque National Forest driving up to nearly 1,600 feet to enjoy the majestic views of the east coast from the Yokahu Observation Tower. Next, stop at the La Coca Waterfall for pictures. Then, cool off with a swim in one of the natural pools on Mameyes River (subject to weather conditions) after a short natural walk of 15 minutes. After 2 hours in the rainforest, we will drive down to Luquillo Beach and kiosk area. Have the chance to swim at the beach or get some local food and drinks

El Yunque National ForestAfter pickups are made, we will drive around 40 min to El Yunque National Rainforest. in this area we will make 3 stops; Yokahu Tower, La Coca Falls and a nature walk of 15 min that will take us Mameyes river for swimming.

Yokahu TowerThis 69 foot tower was built by Dr. Frank H. Wadsworth (former Forest Supervisor and Director of IITF) in the early 1960’s. Four types of the forest can be viewed from Yokahú Tower: Colorado (smooth to the south), Tabonuco (irregular surrounding with white-leaved Yagrumos), Palm (on the steep slopes) and Cloud Forest (on the ridges) are all visible along with the coastline and all the way to the Virgin Islands on a clear day (10 mile + view).

Catarata La CocaAt an elevation of 1, 476 feet (450 meters) above sea level, La Coca Falls is a spectacular waterfall! The waters of La Coca Falls drop 85 feet (26 meters) onto a huge rock formation at the bottom of the falls. This is an excellent spot to take photos.

Mameyes IFrom its headwaters in the Baño de Oro Research Natural Area to the boundary of El Yunque National Forest. Wild — 2.1 miles; Scenic — 1.4 miles; Recreational — 1.0 miles; Total — 4.5 miles. Multiple natural pools are found in this river considered as one of the main ones in El Yunque. Swimming/ Cliff jump and rope swing/ pending on weather conditions.

Playa LuquilloLuquillo beach is considered as one of the most beautiful ones in the Northern side of PR. Here you can find around 36 kiosks where you can shop souvenirs or have a local gastronomical experience.
