OunaghaWe'll depart from Marrakech at 8:00 am and make two stops. The first stop may or may not happen due to various factors, but you'll see goats climbing Argan trees if it does. Did you know that goats love Argan fruits? They only eat the pulp and discard the kernel, which the locals collect to make oil. The second stop is a network of cooperatives between Essaouira and Marrakech. Around 2000 women work here exclusively, providing them with paid employment and allowing them to achieve a certain level of independence. These cooperatives serve as a beacon of hope for female empowerment in the region.
- After reaching Essaouira, travellers will have around 5 hours to explore the old medina. Essaouira is a popular tourist destination due to its natural, historical, and cultural attractions. Its medina was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001, and it is a maze of alleys separating the districts and different souks. Despite its complexity, the souk is well-organized and offers a variety of products, such as clothing, spices, jewellery, olives, fruits, and vegetables. (pass by)
