
Excursion to Luarca, Cudillero and Aviles from Gijon
Overview
Located in western Asturias, Luarca is a place that combines nature and tradition. You will take a one-hour walking tour of the seawall, the fishing port and the Plaza Miares, with the guide explaining the details. Afterwards, you will have free time to explore at your own pace. You will also visit the Ermita de la Regalina in Cadavedo, with panoramic views of the Bay of Biscay.
After about three hours in Luarca, you will move to Cudillero, one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. Its colourful houses on the hill always look out to the sea. The guide will tell you about the place, and then you will have free time to enjoy the town, taste its gastronomy or stroll through its narrow streets and viewpoints.
The tour will continue to Aviles, known for the Niemeyer Center and its important industry. You will take a short half-hour walking tour, and then you will have free time to stroll around the Plaza de la Merced, the old town or the shore of the estuary.
You will return to Gijón around 6:00 pm.
