Overview
The tour begins with a round in the old District including Apostle Paul’s Monument, Imaret and Mohammed Ali’s Square. Then we move to City’s Shipyard a fascinating place where you can learn about the city's maritime history and we pass by the Tsimino Warehouse, a historic building and a reminder of Kavala's important role in the tobacco trade. The city’s iconic sight the Kamares - Aqueduct an impressive structure is on our way as we move to city’s fantastic shopping district and we cross it, to reach the historical landmarks, that Kavala has to offer The Municipal Tobacco Warehouse, The Town Hall and the Great Club of Kavala. We then pass by from the Harbour with its stunning view and we stop at the lovely green space of Municipal Garden, the perfect place to take a break and enjoy the beauty of the city.

The building of the Kavala Town Hall is another important landmark for the city. Its architecture is strange and does not seem at all like the Ottoman or neoclassical structures found in the city, as it is a miniature of a Hungarian tower.

The Great Club was built in 1909 by the Philoptochos Society of Ladies of Kavala - a charity club for the poor, to house the Greek Community Club of Kavala and was inaugurated on 22 May 1910. The building is one of the finest examples of Austrian Baroque in Europe and unique in Greece and is a copy of part of the Vienna Musikverein.
- The old fish Market and old Port Fund The building of the Port Fund, more correctly the Port Commission, was constructed in 1926 and the ground floor of the building housed the city's fish market, and is one of the most iconic buildings at the harbor area. (pass by)
