Felucca tour of Aswan landmarks including Nubian lunch
Overview
This tour will take you to experience the breathtaking Egyptian nature, and landmarks in the Aswan area, onboard on a traditional felucca.
After meeting your pick-up, you will get on the felucca, and spend an hour sailing around the fascinating Nile Islands of Aswan. You will then get off to visit Tombs of the Nobles, high cliffs opposite Aswan, honeycombed with the tombs of the princes, governors “Keepers of the Gate of the South” and other dignitaries of Ancient Egypt. The tour will continue by visiting Qubbat Al-Hawa, a small tomb constructed for a local sheikh. The felucca will then take you to the botanical garden on Kitchener’s Island, given to Lord Horatio Kitchener in the 1890s when he was consul-general of Egypt. The next destination will be a Nubian house, where you will taste a delicious homemade lunch cocked by local people, known to be extremely friendly and hospitable.
After spending some enjoyable time with local people, the felucca will take you on the final sail, back to your transfer.
