The monument, built in 1936, is an iconic landmark that attracts visitors from all over the world. At the Mitad del Mundo, you can stand with one foot in each hemisphere, experiencing the unique position where the Earth is divided into two equal parts. The surrounding area also includes museums and cultural displays that highlight Ecuador's geographical and scientific significance.
