The inscription dated 7 Century mentioned that King Indra of Sailendra has built a sacred building named Venuvana which means "bamboo forest. We will find 3 big statue of Buddha at Mendut temple Cahyawuni Bodhisattvas (Buddhist divinities), such as Avalokitesvara, Vajrapani.
