Visit Prek Toal Bird Sanctuary to experience life on the revered Tonle Sap Lake. Around 5:30 in the morning, you leave from the hotel to the pier. From here, you board a boat for a one-and-a-half-hour ride across the lake to Prek Toal floating village. While you eat a picnic breakfast, your guide will explain the lake's unique environment, as well as its flora and wildlife. You then change boats to explore the bird sanctuary, escorted by a native ranger who will share his extensive knowledge. There is an opportunity to climb a treetop platform to see diversity of birds. You then return to the floating village for lunch in a floating house. After lunch, you board a traditional Khmer paddle boat to learn about life on the water from a local family and see crocodile and fish farms, as well as a floating school and gardens. Returning to Siem Reap by boat at 14:30, it's time to say goodbye to the community and arrive to your hotel at around 16:30, with memorable times.
