  • Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall
The most prominent historical landmark in Taiwan, the CKS Memorial Hall was erected in honor and memory of Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek, the former President of the Republic of China, and was opened in 1980 as part of a national park and gathering area. A huge complex includes the Liberty Square, National Theatre and the Memorial Hall where you can see the show of guard exchange.
  • Dihua Street
Dihua Street has been an important centre for commerce in Taiwanese products and produce such as Chinese medicinal herbs, fabrics, incense materials, and for the post-processing of Taiwanese tea since 1850s. This street offers visitors a glimpse of mid-19th century Taipei as well as the city’s thriving artistic side.
  • Dalongdong Bao An Temple
Originally constructed in 1742 as a wooden shrine, the Bao'an Temple is a Taiwanese folk religion temple. Throughout Taiwan's history, the temple was renovated and reconstructed numerous times, leading to a 2003 induction into UNESCO for cultural heritage conservation.
  • Lin An Tai Historical House & Museum
Explore the housing and garden styles of Taipei during the Qianlong Period in the Qing Dynasty. Please note that this attraction is closed on Mondays. Feel free to seek advice from your driver-guide regarding alternative sightseeing options.
  • National Revolutionary Martyrs' Shrine
Built in 1969, the complex contains the main shrine, as well as the famous guard changing ceremony. Most visitors will leave the area as soon as the guard changing is complete, but be sure to walk inside and explore the fascinating and beautiful Chinese architecture.
  • National Palace Museum
Founded in the Beijing Forbidden City in 1925, the National Palace Museum moved to Taipei's Shilin District in 1949 and opened in 1965. Over 600,000 key artifacts were relocated to Taiwan to preserve them during the Chinese Civil War. Visit the museum to explore the collection—admission is optional. Note: The museum is closed on Mondays.
  • Taipei 101
Discover Taiwan's iconic landmark, once the tallest building in the world from 2004 to 2010! Feel free to enjoy stunning views from outside for free, or take it to the next level by visiting the observatories on the 89th floor (at your own expense). Come experience the marvels of this architectural wonder!
  • Elephant Mountain (aka Nangang District Hiking Trail)
This option offers a great vantage point to enjoy the Taipei City skyline and the iconic Taipei 101. The trail includes a roughly 40-minute stair climb—about 25 minutes to go up and 15 to come down—but trust us, the breathtaking panoramic view from the top is completely worth it! If you're not into the climb, no worries—just ask your driver or guide for other options. Maybe relax at a cozy café and enjoy a bubble tea, hot coffee, or some delicious local snacks instead. Both adventure and relaxation await!
