This UNESCO World Heritage Site was formed by a volcanic eruption over 5,000 years ago and is famous for its unique crater, which is surrounded by 99 sharp, rocky peaks that resemble a crown. Visitors can hike up to the Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak summit via a well-maintained trail that takes about 20-30 minutes to reach the top. The hike is moderately challenging, but the reward is a spectacular view of the crater and the surrounding coastline, making the effort well worth it.
