Santuario Nacional Nuestra Senora de Los AngelesUpon arrival in the city of Cartago, the former Capital of Costa Rica, you will see the impressive Basilica of Our Lady of the Angels, built in honor of the Virgin of Los Angeles, patron saint of Catholic Costa Ricans and a site of interest for all pilgrims who gather mainly every August 1st in a religious festival very dear to the Ticos.
