Plaza BerlinThis plaza was developed together with the German embassy in Guatemala and the Municipality of Guatemala. It has a fairly large space that allows you to observe a panoramic landscape of the south of Guatemala City as well as remains of the historic Berlin wall that had its fall in 1989.
- Reforma Avenue was conceived as a symbol of progress and modernity, and in its early years was surrounded by neoclassical mansions and buildings that reflected the elegance of the Guatemalan elite. Today it is a corporate and commercial corridor, with hotels, offices and restaurants, but retains its historic character thanks to monuments and green areas. It is also a civic space, scene of parades, homeland celebrations and cultural activities. (pass by)
- It was built between 1927 and 1941 at the initiative of Felipe Yurrita, a Spanish immigrant. The work was an offering to the Virgin of Anguish, patron saint of her hometown in Spain, in gratitude for having protected her family during the eruption of the Santa Maria volcano in 1902. (pass by)
