  • Hualien City
    Sakur Trail,According to historical documents and oral accounts, in the early years, the area around was abundant with Formosan alder trees, locally referred to as "Formosan alder feet." The Amis tribe called it "Sakur" . During the Japanese colonial era, when place names were being established, the area was renamed Sakura, pronounced as "Sakura" in Japanese kanji characters. In 2007, after the local residents officially named it the "Sakiraya Tribe," the people of the tribe chose to name it "Sakur." The "Sakur Trail" is a suburban trail constructed using natural ecological methods, suitable for people of all ages. It is approximately 1.35 kilometers in length, taking about 40 to 60 minutes to walk. Upon entering the trailhead, individuals can choose either the left or right path based on their personal stamina. It is recommended to take the right path as it is easier to walk along, with fewer steep ascents and stairs.
  • Xiulin
    Jiamin Village is a tribal community of the Taroko people, known for their straightforward and optimistic personalities, relying on farming and hunting for livelihoods, and living in harmony with the mountains, endowed with robust physical health from birth. Due to its unique geographical environment, the village boasts the beauty of green mountains and clear waters. Villagers enjoy hunting and gathering throughout the seasons, as well as gathering for drinking and conversation. They inherit traditional craftsmanship from their ancestors, including traditional weaving, bamboo, rattan, wood, and stone carving, as well as cultural artifacts such as backpacks and chairs. The main agricultural product of the village is mountain ferns
  • Xiulin
    Fu-shih Village is located in the northern half of Sioulin Township, with its eastern border facing the Pacific Ocean and its western boundary reaching Da-yu Mountain Range. Encompassing the area within is the Taroko National Park, making it the largest village in the township. The residents of the village are mainly of the Taroko tribe, known for their simple and sincere way of life. Within the jurisdiction of the Taroko National Park, the awe-inspiring wonders of nature have gained fame both domestically and internationally, leaving a lasting impression on visitors with its exquisite and breathtaking scenery. Fu-shih elementray school was founded in 1922, initially named 'Wu-sei-an Educational Institute.' After the liberation of Taiwan in 1945, the school's name was changed to 'Fu-shih National School
  • Taroko National Park
    Taroko National Park, situated in the eastern part of the Taiwan, covers more than 92,000 hectares, with high mountains and sheer gorges. Many of its peaks tower above 3,000m in elevation, and the scenic beauty of Liwu River can be conveniently viewed from the Central Cross-Island Highway. The varied mountain peaks, numerous waterfalls, diverse plant forms and animal life, together with the indigenous Taroko people, create the rich texture of this unique natural ecosystem. we can enter Taroko National Park, with a roughly 3-hour tour arranged. This includes: taking photos at the eastern entrance Arch Gate. Visiting the visitor center. A scenic drive through approximately 20 kilometers of the most stunning canyon views. Exploring the Tianxiang area, including sites like the Xiangde Temple, Due to the April 2024 earthquake, some sections of the highway inside the park are currently under repair. Entry by vehicle is only permitted during specific time windows.
  • Xincheng
    Hualien also boasts a healing exotic structure, the Xincheng Catholic Church. Originally a solemn Shinto shrine during the Japanese occupation, it later transformed into a Catholic church. This church, steeped in history and age, resembles a forest treehouse from the outside and has earned the nickname of the Taiwanese Noah's Ark, attracting travelers for its picturesque beauty. Inside the Xincheng Catholic Church, there is a sacred and aesthetic atmosphere, welcoming visitors for free tours. Although the overall space is not extensive, it is well-planned for enjoyable sightseeing and photography
  • Chishingtan Scenic Area
    Chishingtan Beach sits on a beautiful part of the Haulien coastline, a crescent bay to the north of Hualien City. The pebbly beach faces the Pacific and is flanked by green-covered mountains. Chishingtan translates as Seven Stars Lake and is a reference to an area near Hualien Airport that used to feature seven small lakes. However, these were filled in by the Japanese during their occupation of the island. you can enjoy a stroll by the water’s edge and then sit and gaze out at the Pacific.
