Next, they made their way to the Pirate Canal, where they learned about the captivating tales of pirates and their treasure. They were intrigued by the stories of how these pirates roamed the waters and fought against one another to claim the riches of the area.

Fuerte San Felipe BacalarTheir final stop of the day was at San Felipe Fort, where they learned about the rich history of the town. The fort was built in the 18th century to protect the town from pirates and was a key location in many historical battles.
